The indoor shotput was originally developed as a training device to help shot putters in cold weather climates work on their technique during winter months. It was designed to be thrown against a solidly constructed wall, as found in most gymnasiums, and to land on a mat. (We do not recommed throwing indoor shotputs onto unprotected hardwood floors.) Our supplier made the first indoor shotputs sanctioned for indoor and outdoor competition.A light weight shotput for elementary school age students or for conditioning workouts.All Indoor Shotputs may be used outdoors.
