AGES OF CHILDREN WHO WILL USE THE PLAYGROUND

Toddlers, preschoolers, primary and intermediate aged children all have somewhat different developmental levels. Wherever all ages play on a playground, it is best to have a separate structure for each age level. Typical age groups for play area equipment are 2-5 and 5-12.

SPACE LIMITATIONS

We can configure a playground to almost any shape. We will need an exact scale drawing of your play area to make sure our proposal fits your space. Ensure you consider safety areas around play equipment. A good rule of thumb is to plan for a clear area of at least 6 feet around all equipment. Shared safety space varies depending on the type of equipment.

YOUR BUDGET

We can work within almost any budget or may recommend stand-alone events if your budget preludes a large playstructure. We can recommend a lease-purchase option if your desires exceed your short-term budget or work with you to secure outside funding and grants. We will work with your budget but please do not keep us in the dark. We cannot fulfill your needs without all the information. When planning your playground you need to include costs for installation and safety surface material. We can furnish a proposal including all these items.

YOUR PREFERENCES

Do you prefer steel, plastic, wood or a combination of materials? Which specific activities do you want on your playground? What kind of safety surface do you like? Do you want a standard configuration or a custom design? MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTIONS

If your project includes renovation of current play systems, we can provide appropriate recommendations for you. A Certified Playground Inspector can work with you to develop a maintenance and inspection plan to ensure your playground remains safe. We can provide the training, resources and forms for you to do everything in-house or take care of all maintenance and inspections for you. We will work within your budget to provide the best value for you.
